Stone Harbor operates 16 all weather tennis courts: 11 at the 82nd Street Recreation Center and 5 at 96th Street soft courts. These Courts are operated on a membership basis. Non-members can play when courts are available. Members play for free but must pay for all non-members playing with them.
Only members can make reservations in advance for weekday play. Weekend play is set up on a first come, first served basis with preference for doubles until noon. Weekend reservations may be made on a same day basis starting at 8:00 a.m. at the location where one wishes to play. Non-members can rent court time when it is available only ten minutes before change-over times. Any reservation will only be held for ten minutes past the reserved time.
Stone Harbor tennis courts follow the rules, regulations and the code established by the United States Tennis Association. All rules and codes will be enforced.
All lessons and clinics will be set up by the head pro. All lessons and clinics are taught by U.S.T.A. and US Pro Tennis Association formats. For more information pick up a schedule at either tennis office. Recreational and competitive tournaments will be held several times this season. Dates and times will be available at the tennis office. Note: Times, Rates & Age Groups are subject to change depending on registrations and at the sole discretion of the Recreation Department.
